A Sierra Nevada Dahlia Society membership provides year-round education, events, and community centered on growing and enjoying dahlias. Membership dues directly support the Society’s nonprofit mission, helping fund educational programs, public events, community outreach, and the annual dahlia show.

 

January Member Bonus – Members who join or renew in January 2026 will receive a coupon for a discount on a special dahlia photo calendar, available in our online shop soon!
 

Member benefits include:

 

• Meetings & Events – Monthly member meetings, workshops, and seasonal events focused on growing, propagating, and showing dahlias

• Education & Guest Speakers – Learn from experienced growers and guest speakers on soil health, pest and disease management, floral design, and more

• Plant & Tuber Sales (Early Access) – Early Access to the annual Society tuber and plant sale, including rare and locally adapted varieties

2026 Member Events 

Members enjoy a full year of seasonal programming, including:

 

• Monthly member meetings (January–December)

• Annual business meeting

• Spring dahlia tuber sale

• Summer garden tours and potlucks

• Annual Dahlia Show (September)

• Hands-on workshops (arranging & showing dahlias, tuber digging & dividing, etc.)

• Holiday social and member appreciation event

• Regional conference opportunities

 

Most meetings are held on the third Tuesday of each month in Reno at Aloft Hotel, with occasional weekend events and field trips. Event details are shared with members throughout the year.

Joining now provides membership through December 31, 2026.

 

• Individual Membership – Voting privileges, eligibility to hold office, serve on committees, and access all Society benefits

• Household Membership – Includes all members of one household at the same address with the same benefits as individual members
